The following items were reported by area police agencies over the weekend:
BYRON — A Byron woman faces several charges, including resisting arrest, following a traffic stop at 8:35 p.m. Friday in Byron, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Deborah L. Compton, 52, of 6542 Swamp Rd., Byron was stopped after allegedly failing to dim the headlights of the vehicle she was operating, deputies said. Investigation revealed she was operating without a license and had five suspensions on her driving record. While being placed under arrest, Compton allegedly resisted being taken into custody, deputies said.
Compton was charged with resisting arrest, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator and failure to dim headlights. She was arraigned on those charges in Elba Town Court Friday night.
The defendant was later found to have a baggie of marijuana in her coat when brought into Genesee County Jail. She was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and promoting prison contraband.
She is scheduled to answer those charges at 9:30 a.m. March 17 in Batavia City Court.
DARIEN — Kyle F. Hall, 23, of 6457 Alleghany Rd., Alabama was charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 2:24 a.m. Saturday on Route 20 in Darien, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Hall was also charged with driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more and failure to keep right.
Hall was issued appearance tickets for 6 p.m. April 6 in Darien Town Court.
BATAVIA — Lynn M. Bischoff, 45, of 7019 Maple Rd., Alabama was charged with DWI about 1:55 a.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on Galloway Road in the town of Batavia, Genesee County sheriff's deputies said.
She was also charged with driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more, unlawful possession of marijuana, moving from lane unsafely and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Bischoff was issued an appearance ticket for 1:30 p.m. April 8 in Batavia Town Court.
PAVILION — A Batavia man was charged early Sunday after a report of an erratically-driven vehicle, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Anthony P. Dibble, 20, of 146 Summit St. was stopped about 12:20 a.m. on Route 19, said Deputy John Weis. He was charged with DWI and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more.
Dibble is to appear March 23 in Town Court.
CONCORD — A traffic stop early Sunday morning resulted in charges against an Arcade man, state police said.
Scott D. Sonner, 24, was stopped on Route 240, troopers said. Further investigation allegedly revealed he was intoxicated and possessed a small amount of marijuana.
Sonner was charged with DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana. He is to appear in Town Court at a later date.
ALBION — Michael A. Corter was charged March 2 with petit larceny, Albion police said.
Corter, 20, of 14909 Ridge Rd., Kent, was arrested at the police station. He is to appear March 16 in Town Court.
ALBION — A village man was charged Wednesday after he made physical contact with another person, Albion police said.
Ronald Reis, 47, of 134 East State St. was charged with second-degree harassment. He is to appear Wednesday in Town Court.
ALBION — A Brockport resident was charged Thursday with third-degree assault, Albion police said. Javonie E. McKinney, 36, of 705 Viking Way is to appear March 17 in Town Court.
ALBION — A village woman was charged Thursday with petit larceny, Albion police said. Judy Ward, 58, of 26 East Park St. is to appear March 16 in Town Court.
ALBION — Joseph A. Ward was charged Thursday with petit larceny, Albion police said. Ward, 52, of 3576 Gaines Basin Rd, Albion, is to appear March 16 in Village Court.
ALBION — An Erie County woman was charged Friday with petit larceny, Albion police said. Ellen K. Hurley, 36, of 1665 Crittenden Rd., Alden is to appear March 16 in Town Court.
